Hello and welcome to episode let me look 124.

00:00:29.123 --> 00:00:32.570
This is the tiny marketing show and I am Sarah Noelle Block.

00:00:32.570 --> 00:00:35.060
It's good to be here Today.

00:00:35.060 --> 00:00:37.185
I'm sharing something a little bit different.

00:00:37.185 --> 00:00:50.567
I am sharing a clip from my masterclass that happened last Tuesday if you're listening on release day, where I talked about how you can leverage niche communities to build a thriving sales pipeline.

00:00:50.567 --> 00:01:08.281
So stay tuned as I share the first two parts of that masterclass, where I get into how to find niche communities and how to start conversations with people in those niche communities that lead to sales conversations.

00:01:08.281 --> 00:01:10.885
Okay, stay tuned, enjoy.

00:01:10.885 --> 00:01:16.615
Hello everyone, thank you so much for joining me today.

00:01:16.615 --> 00:01:30.746
We have about 20 more people joining over the next 30 minutes, but I'm going to get started because this is a quick and dirty masterclass and I want to get into it.

00:01:30.746 --> 00:01:36.245
So, for anybody who is new to my world, I am Sarah Noelle Block.

00:01:36.447 --> 00:01:51.862
I am the founder of Tiny Marketing, the host of the Tiny Marketing Show and the creator of the Tiny Marketing Club, and if you are already a listener of my podcast, then you probably have already heard this.

00:01:51.862 --> 00:02:02.912
But this masterclass is stemming from episode 121, where I talked about three different ways that you can generate leads without social media.

00:02:02.912 --> 00:02:08.502
That you can generate leads without social media.

00:02:08.502 --> 00:02:19.864
First, before we get deep into the approach we're talking about today the approach that gave me an additional $100,000 in revenue last year let's get into all three of them and then we'll deep dive.

00:02:19.864 --> 00:02:22.947
So one referrals.

00:02:22.947 --> 00:02:32.502
The number one way to get new clients, new leads, without social media is referrals.

00:02:32.502 --> 00:02:47.395
So having conversations with your past clients, with referral partners, and making sure that they are aware of the offers that you have going on right now and if you have referral bonuses or rev share.

00:02:47.395 --> 00:02:48.882
So that's number one.

00:02:48.882 --> 00:02:53.091
Number two is partnerships.

00:02:53.091 --> 00:03:02.169
So making sure that you are building relationships with people who have the same audience as you but aren't direct competitors.

00:03:02.169 --> 00:03:12.251
And these partners can look like bundles, where you bundle your offers together and you co-facilitate whatever you're creating.

00:03:12.251 --> 00:03:19.170
It can look like newsletter swaps or webinar guesting, but let's get into number three.

00:03:19.170 --> 00:03:33.187
So number three to get leads and generate new revenue and new clients without social media is niche communities, and that is what we're digging into today.

00:03:35.009 --> 00:03:40.402
I am going to share real quick the invite.

00:03:40.402 --> 00:03:50.663
So everybody who is live here today, which I promised you, will get access to this workbook that I'm going to talk through today.

00:03:50.663 --> 00:03:52.668
So it's in the chat now.

00:03:52.668 --> 00:04:10.090
You also get access to a tool that I created where it generates your 30-day biz dev blitz, so it gives you 30 days of tasks to do to bring in new leads and new clients, and you can even add it directly to your Google Calendar.

00:04:10.090 --> 00:04:11.526
So yay for that.

00:04:11.526 --> 00:04:15.527
So you can grab that right there.

00:04:15.527 --> 00:04:21.331
It's free and let's get into the meat of it.

00:04:21.331 --> 00:04:29.363
Can everybody just check in real quick, since I can't see your faces, I can only see the numbers on my screen.

00:04:29.363 --> 00:04:37.528
Say hi in the comments and let me know what your biggest question is that you would love to have answered today.

00:04:37.528 --> 00:04:46.612
I will stick around for a few minutes after this quick and dirty masterclass to answer any questions that come up, so don't be shy.

00:04:46.612 --> 00:04:53.204
All right, I'm gonna make myself smaller so you can see this better.

00:04:53.204 --> 00:05:00.593
All right, hi, okay.

00:05:00.675 --> 00:05:07.964
So the first thing we're going to talk about when we're talking about leveraging niche communities is what the hell is it?

00:05:07.964 --> 00:05:09.826
What is a niche community?

00:05:09.826 --> 00:05:21.052
Niche communities are often created by solo creators, hello, and they can sometimes be paid.

00:05:21.052 --> 00:05:26.524
Sometimes they are free, but they're usually.

00:05:26.524 --> 00:05:32.471
Oh, that's the first thing we're talking about, kristen how to find the right communities.

00:05:32.471 --> 00:05:35.884
The thing is they are usually pretty hidden.

00:05:35.884 --> 00:05:36.745
They're usually big secrets.

00:05:36.745 --> 00:05:42.091
So the thing is, you have to ask, and often they're invite only.

00:05:42.091 --> 00:05:46.345
So let's get into finding the right communities, which is the first thing I want to talk about.

00:05:46.345 --> 00:05:59.189
So niche communities are those communities that you find that are catered to a specific audience, and they usually live in tools like Disco, to a specific audience, and they usually live in tools like Disco, heartbeat, circle, slack, discord.

00:05:59.189 --> 00:06:02.093
That's usually where they live.

00:06:02.093 --> 00:06:05.596
So how do you find the right communities?

00:06:05.596 --> 00:06:20.182
Hi, carol, katie, alex, good crowd today.

00:06:20.242 --> 00:06:21.704
First, this is how I do it right away.

00:06:21.704 --> 00:06:25.072
This is how I found my very favorite niche communities is asking my network.

00:06:25.072 --> 00:06:47.826
So if you guys aren't doing connection calls, which are 15-minute conversations with people like networking calls, start doing it, because the first thing that I ask when someone says how can I help you after I've answered a question for them, is what communities are you part of, and I have gotten such amazing ones.

00:06:47.826 --> 00:06:52.595
In fact, most of my income last year came from niche communities.

00:06:52.595 --> 00:07:03.851
Year came from niche communities, and they were ones that I found out about through these connection calls and networking conversations.

00:07:03.851 --> 00:07:16.860
So super important to just ask when you're on sales calls, make sure to ask what communities are you part of so you can be part of it, because if one ideal client is part of that community, there are probably a lot more just like them in that community.

00:07:18.504 --> 00:07:23.252
Another way to find niche communities is to leverage sales calls.

00:07:23.252 --> 00:07:40.723
So one thing that I always do is record my sales calls and I take that transcript, throw it into ChatGPT transcript, throw it into ChatGPT and I can extract all of the information that I need.

00:07:40.723 --> 00:07:47.363
I just ask ChatGPT questions based off of the transcript, use this transcript and answer these questions what communities are they part of?

00:07:47.363 --> 00:07:50.050
Who are their trusted advisors?

00:07:50.050 --> 00:07:53.863
Where do they go first when they're coming across a problem at work?

00:07:53.863 --> 00:08:01.425
All of those types of questions will help guide what would make sense for your lead generation going forward.

00:08:03.148 --> 00:08:11.346
Another way to find niche communities is exploring the Discord server, because they have a directory which Slack doesn't.

00:08:11.346 --> 00:08:24.571
I wish it did, but Discord has a directory so you can find niche communities in there, and you can also find LinkedIn groups, facebook groups.

00:08:24.571 --> 00:08:37.895
You can search those directories and I'm in the works of creating a directory of all of these hidden gem niche communities that I've come across, because, oh, it should exist already.

00:08:37.895 --> 00:08:41.225
So, since it doesn't exist, I'll create that.

00:08:41.225 --> 00:08:44.413
Check industry forums and Reddit is another way.

00:08:44.413 --> 00:09:00.861
So if you are part of any paid communities that you regularly go in, you go to their events they always have forums as part of it and in those forums, start asking what other communities people are part of and Reddit is.

00:09:00.861 --> 00:09:17.211
I just slept on it for a really long time, but Reddit has some great little niche conversations happening that will help you find those invite-only communities that are really just underground and hard to find.

00:09:19.261 --> 00:09:23.494
And last, look at membership-based communities, so paid communities.

00:09:23.494 --> 00:09:34.174
You can look for community managers or community creators on LinkedIn and find out what communities they are part of.

00:09:34.174 --> 00:09:39.009
There are also people who specialize in communities and they are going to have a list of them.

00:09:39.009 --> 00:09:49.386
Now I've got the biggest treasure trove of niche communities when I just posted on LinkedIn and asked what secret communities are you guys part of?

00:09:49.386 --> 00:09:56.192
That I should be part of, and a whole list came out that were really exciting.

00:09:56.192 --> 00:10:06.080
So these are some ways that you can find niche communities, and their secret is the problem.

00:10:06.080 --> 00:10:10.892
So you have to actually seek them out and start asking people about them.

00:10:10.892 --> 00:10:18.052
I'm in four communities right now and every single one of them I needed an invitation to join.

00:10:18.052 --> 00:10:22.405
So ask around and ask for that invite.

00:10:22.405 --> 00:10:26.052
So we're not going.

00:10:26.052 --> 00:10:27.293
This is a quick and dirty.

00:10:27.293 --> 00:10:33.614
This is not a workshop, so we're not going to do the activities today, but I wanted them here for you for afterwards.

00:10:33.614 --> 00:10:40.322
So, when this is over, I want you to start listing some communities that you can start exploring.

00:10:40.523 --> 00:10:57.355
Today, I work with a lot of consultants and fractionals, so I'm constantly seeking out communities that cater to fractionals and solo consultants, so that's something that you can research too.

00:10:57.355 --> 00:11:01.149
What communities exist for your specific niche?

00:11:01.149 --> 00:11:10.130
Hey, and if anybody in the chat over here knows of any amazing communities for fractionals or solo consultants, lay it out there, tell me.

00:11:10.130 --> 00:11:13.522
And if you guys are in any, why not while we're here?

00:11:13.522 --> 00:11:22.153
If you guys are in any communities that you guys really love that are secretive, put them in the chat so we know.

00:11:22.153 --> 00:11:34.135
Okay, so how do you, once you have entered these niche communities, how do you turn that experience into a lead generating experience?

00:11:34.135 --> 00:11:35.418
Let's get into that.

00:11:35.418 --> 00:11:47.352
Step one is review the directory and start connecting one-on-one, without sales pitches, with people that would fall within your dream client category.

00:11:47.352 --> 00:11:54.089
So every single paid community I am part of also has a membership directory.

00:11:54.089 --> 00:11:56.756
Even some of the free ones has membership directories.

00:11:56.756 --> 00:12:10.270
Go through the membership directory, use the search bar, search for key triggers and traits that your dream client has and start connecting with those people and start a conversation.

00:12:10.270 --> 00:12:14.035
Oh thanks, alex, join Alignable.

00:12:16.778 --> 00:12:26.091
So what I want you to do is send a thoughtful message, introducing yourself, complimenting them and talking about maybe a shared interest or a question that they answered.

00:12:26.091 --> 00:12:31.971
Focus on starting the conversation, not pitching, because that's not going to get you anywhere.

00:12:31.971 --> 00:12:42.355
It's relationship first, and your goal is to eventually get to a place where you're booking a 15-minute connection or networking call to explore how you can help each other.

00:12:42.355 --> 00:12:50.669
15-minute connection or networking call to explore how you can help each other.

00:12:50.669 --> 00:12:55.322
So my favorite go-to DM is after someone has asked a question in the community, which is a mini hand raise saying that they need support.

00:12:55.322 --> 00:13:02.294
I will answer their question and then I'll follow up in a DM and ask do you want any?

00:13:02.294 --> 00:13:04.379
Do you want to dig into this deeper?

00:13:04.379 --> 00:13:05.711
Do you want to brainstorm on this?

00:13:05.711 --> 00:13:10.736
And that will usually entice some sort of one-on-one conversation with them.

00:13:10.736 --> 00:13:13.934
So that's a great way is add value.

00:13:13.934 --> 00:13:21.356
First answer the question that they had in the community and then reach out to them privately to go in a little bit deeper on your answer.

00:13:23.105 --> 00:13:27.385
Two is set up keyword alerts for immediate engagement.

00:13:27.385 --> 00:13:32.131
This will save you in those Slack forums that you're in.

00:13:32.131 --> 00:13:41.029
I am in 10 Slack groups and if I had my alerts set up for all of them, they would be useless.

00:13:41.029 --> 00:13:45.278
I'm going to cut it off right there because I'm a tease and it's juicy.

00:13:45.278 --> 00:13:50.437
So if you want the end of this masterclass, head to the show notes page.

00:13:50.437 --> 00:14:04.938
I have the invite right there and you can find out how I set up keyword alerts and how I'm the first person to answer questions and how I turn those conversations, those answers, into sales conversations later.

00:14:04.938 --> 00:14:06.447
So it's juicy.

00:14:06.667 --> 00:14:07.649
People really loved it.

00:14:07.649 --> 00:14:21.058
We had a 74% live show up rate on a free masterclass, so that's killer If you're listening to this right now and you were at that masterclass.

00:14:21.058 --> 00:14:25.777
Thank you so much for being such an amazing audience member.

00:14:25.777 --> 00:14:27.250
The chat was blowing up.

00:14:27.250 --> 00:14:31.052
You guys had amazing questions and I had so much fun with you.

00:14:32.125 --> 00:14:36.644
And if you're listening to this and you did not see it, it's not too late to catch the replay.

00:14:36.644 --> 00:14:55.764
Find it down below and grab it there to get the last three steps to build your sales pipeline with niche communities and a little introduction to the Tiny Marketing Club and how that program can help you build a thriving sales pipeline.

00:14:55.764 --> 00:14:57.832
That's really easy to close.

00:14:57.832 --> 00:15:05.277
