Erica Gumieny is the owner of Pivotal Point, LLC, where she serves in multiple capacities to inspire and empower individuals and organizations.
With a problem-solving mindset akin to Vanilla Ice—"If there's a problem, she'll solve it!"—Erica blends humor and truth to help people and organizations overcome obstacles and gain clarity, empowering them to achieve their goals and purpose.
As an author, Erica shares her candid communication style through articles, her blog, and her upcoming book, Journey from the Ashes. She is also the creator and host of The Funny Kind™, a video blog series dedicated to uncovering kindness and light in everyday moments.
As a speaker, Erica tailors her presentations to meet the needs of her audience, seamlessly combining humor, authenticity, and storytelling to captivate and inspire. Her unique approach ensures that each presentation not only engages but also provides valuable insights that resonate deeply with her listeners.
In her corporate career, Erica has honed her client-focused expertise and senior leadership skills across diverse industries, including healthcare, higher education, advertising, training and development, and transportation.
Erica is deeply committed to giving back to her community and has served in numerous volunteer roles. She has been on the Board of Trustees for organizations such as the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Professional Dimensions, The Parenting Network, and the Alverno College Alumnae Association. Additionally, Erica and her family are passionate about volunteering for several nonprofits and serving meals for Community Projects for Seniors.
Erica holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with Honors from Alverno College and a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and Administration from Concordia University.
She is married to Jay, the owner of Central States Insurance Agency, and together, they have two adult children whom they cherish spending time with, creating memories, and sharing laughter.
