Today, I'm honored to welcome Dr Samantha.
00:00:29.708 --> 00:00:31.731
How do you say your last name?
00:00:32.091 --> 00:00:32.633
Deloche.
00:00:33.213 --> 00:00:38.225
Deloche Okay, I didn't want to mess it up, girl, that's a beautiful name, Thank you.
00:00:38.225 --> 00:00:46.911
A pharmacist, entrepreneur and professional speaker who has dedicated more than 16 years to healthcare and leadership.
00:00:46.911 --> 00:00:57.945
She's also the founder of the Model Speakers Academy, where she empowers professionals to build confidence and communicate with impact using her signature model M-O-D-E-L framework, and you can tell us exactly what that means.
00:00:57.945 --> 00:01:12.335
So in this conversation, we'll uncover how Dr Samantha has combined her expertise in healthcare leadership and her passion for speaking, and how you two can step into your voice.
00:01:12.335 --> 00:01:16.384
Confidence yeah, do a voice.
00:01:16.384 --> 00:01:18.972
Confidence and creating lasting impact.
00:01:18.972 --> 00:01:21.387
Dr Samantha, say hello to the audience.
00:01:22.069 --> 00:01:25.629
Hello everyone and thank you so much, Rhonda, for having me here.
00:01:25.629 --> 00:01:32.483
I really love being able to introduce myself to new platforms, new audiences, so I'm really excited to be here today.
00:01:32.483 --> 00:01:33.906
Thank you for having me, oh.
00:01:33.947 --> 00:01:35.069
I'm excited you being here.
00:01:35.069 --> 00:01:36.262
It's just a pleasure.
00:01:36.262 --> 00:01:39.891
So let's get this guy, because actually both of us actually got something to do.
00:01:39.891 --> 00:01:40.921
Let's have women do it.
00:01:40.921 --> 00:01:42.424
We do two or three things at a time.
00:01:42.424 --> 00:01:43.265
We can do it right.
00:01:43.265 --> 00:01:43.584
That's right.
00:01:43.584 --> 00:01:44.186
Make that's how women do it.
00:01:44.186 --> 00:01:45.007
We do two or three things at a time.
00:01:45.007 --> 00:01:45.647
We can do it right, that's right.
00:01:45.647 --> 00:01:46.228
Make it happen.
00:01:46.228 --> 00:01:46.769
Make it happen, exactly.
00:01:47.030 --> 00:01:49.634
I'm going to read your bio and then we're going to step into some questions here.
00:01:49.634 --> 00:01:57.579
So Dr Samantha Delos she's a pharmacist, entrepreneur and professional speaker with over 16 years of experience in healthcare leadership and leadership.
00:01:57.579 --> 00:02:09.433
She is the founder of Model Speakers Academy, where she coaches professionals to build confidence and communicate with impact using her proprietor MODEL framework, and you're going to tell us about that.
00:02:09.433 --> 00:02:19.807
Dr Delosha is a visionary behind Model Missions Incorporated, a nonprofit supporting youth development through mentorship, college readiness and personal growth.
00:02:19.807 --> 00:02:20.449
I love that.
00:02:20.449 --> 00:02:24.204
A proud graduate for Shaftland University Did I say it right?
00:02:24.204 --> 00:02:26.854
Shaftland, shaftland, shaftland, okay.
00:02:26.854 --> 00:02:27.878
Shaftland University Did I say it right?
00:02:27.878 --> 00:02:34.140
Shaftland, shaftland, shaftland, okay.
00:02:34.140 --> 00:02:35.967
She earned her doctorate of pharmacy, musc and MBA at Citadel in 2007.
00:02:35.967 --> 00:02:44.687
She has been honored as a leadership North Carolina graduate, career master, emerging leader and one of the Charlotte Ledger's 40 over 40.
00:02:46.031 --> 00:02:46.852
My pharmacist.
00:02:46.852 --> 00:02:53.372
She uniquely blends healthcare, entrepreneurship and motivational speaking to inspired artists worldwide.
00:02:53.372 --> 00:02:54.543
I love that.
00:02:54.543 --> 00:03:04.865
I love what you're doing here and this is great because actually I am, I mentor, I work in corporate and I retired and I got back into my social work mentoring middle school girls.
00:03:04.865 --> 00:03:10.332
So this is so important how you are modeling and helping them to be able to call it affirmations.
00:03:10.332 --> 00:03:11.402
I'm an affirmation queen.
00:03:11.402 --> 00:03:13.669
Have the affirmations and the personal growth.
00:03:13.669 --> 00:03:14.572
So, welcome, welcome.
00:03:14.572 --> 00:03:16.224
I appreciate you, dr Samantha.
00:03:16.224 --> 00:03:19.655
So let's get this party started here.
00:03:19.655 --> 00:03:24.943
So, dr Samantha, can you share your journey from pharmacist to entrepreneur and professional speaker?
00:03:24.943 --> 00:03:27.605
So, dr Samantha, can you share your journey from pharmacist to entrepreneur and professional speaker?
00:03:27.626 --> 00:03:28.145
How did you jump from that?
00:03:28.145 --> 00:03:30.908
I've always believed that you shouldn't fit in one box.
00:03:30.908 --> 00:03:33.170
There's always more to a person.
00:03:33.170 --> 00:03:39.295
And so I was always good in science and math and I always wanted to be in health care.
00:03:39.295 --> 00:03:46.645
I wanted to help individuals and I knew I wasn't a blood and guts kind of person.
00:03:46.645 --> 00:03:48.111
But I knew pharmacy was going to be a great pathway.
00:03:48.133 --> 00:03:53.188
I had three pharmacists in my church growing up, so I got to shadow in their pharmacies and you know, see the life that they were able to live.
00:03:53.188 --> 00:03:55.883
And I was like, hey, I want to do that, I want to be the medication expert.
00:03:55.883 --> 00:04:03.504
I want to help people feel better without having to go to the doctor's office per se, just be that trusted individual in the community.
00:04:03.504 --> 00:04:06.007
But I also had a passion for speaking.
00:04:06.007 --> 00:04:11.633
I also had a passion for helping others and modeling and I said, I wonder, can I do both?
00:04:11.633 --> 00:04:20.701
Many people felt, oh, she's a pharmacist, she should be satisfied, she should be good.
00:04:20.721 --> 00:04:26.865
But I always had that desire for more and so I said, maybe because there isn't a lane already, with somebody in science and healthcare and doing quite what I'm doing, maybe that's the lane I need to create.
00:04:26.865 --> 00:04:44.524
And so I created the trademark brand Modeling Pharmacist, where I'm able to be a motivational speaker, I'm able to literally model, I'm able still to do the pharmacy side, and so it's like my own baby that I created Because I like to say we all are models, we all are modeling something, and if you don't like what you're modeling to the world, then it's up to you to change it.
00:04:44.524 --> 00:04:53.290
So I wanted to bring out the model for everybody in themselves, help them be able to reach their best level by being the model they want the world to see.
00:04:54.492 --> 00:04:55.112
I love that.
00:04:55.112 --> 00:05:08.767
I love that and you're so right, because actually, what I did too as far as dealing with the abuse in my early life, I wanted to make sure that girls, women, their self-esteem and confidence was not taken away from them.
00:05:08.767 --> 00:05:13.632
So you're doing the same thing, but I love how you actually brought this, brought this, into nutrition as far as doing what you're doing here.
00:05:13.632 --> 00:05:19.860
So what pivotal moment made you realize you're calling to help others communicate with confidence, like we were just talking about confidence.
00:05:20.300 --> 00:05:20.600
You know what?
00:05:20.600 --> 00:05:22.362
To be honest, it just came easy.
00:05:22.362 --> 00:05:24.863
It just it didn't feel like work when I was doing it.
00:05:24.863 --> 00:05:29.586
I got a certain sense of just a surge of energy or a certain level of joy.
00:05:29.586 --> 00:05:34.810
I would feel when I would talk and speak with people and then people would tell me oh wow, you're doing such a good job.
00:05:34.850 --> 00:05:37.451
And when they found out I was a pharmacist, they were like that doesn't seem like it fits.
00:05:37.451 --> 00:05:43.036
You know, you don't seem like a pharmacist because of the stereotype that we expect men, white.
00:05:43.036 --> 00:05:44.336
Certain things you just didn't see.
00:05:44.336 --> 00:05:51.588
And so they were like wow, you should do this, or you should actually be modeling, or you should be speaking more, or the children really enjoyed what you had to say.
00:05:51.588 --> 00:05:59.988
So I started getting that confirmation from different people and saying that they enjoyed what I did, and so I was like this is the same thing I'm keeping on hearing.
00:05:59.988 --> 00:06:03.468
Then there's gotta be a level of truth to it and, like I said, I enjoy doing it.
00:06:03.468 --> 00:06:11.168
That's what gave me that pivotal turn like the look into this and creating a business and being more serious about it, and not just the hobby.
00:06:11.187 --> 00:06:11.569
That's awesome.
00:06:11.569 --> 00:06:12.089
That's awesome.
00:06:12.089 --> 00:06:13.033
I love it, I love it.
00:06:13.033 --> 00:06:15.088
So let's talk about your model framework.
00:06:15.088 --> 00:06:19.980
What are your five steps to becoming confident and a compelling speaker?
00:06:19.980 --> 00:06:21.081
Tell us about that.
00:06:21.540 --> 00:06:32.887
Okay, the model framework, and honestly I have two of them, but the one that I had initially with the modeling pharmacist was mindset of daily excellent living, meaning every day we have a choice to make on how we're going to live our lives.
00:06:32.887 --> 00:06:39.511
So putting the power back in ourselves of how we want to model or show the world what we have to offer.
00:06:39.511 --> 00:06:45.033
And then the one for my speakers, academy in, which is more geared to public speaking, is motivate.
00:06:45.033 --> 00:06:45.894
That's the model.
00:06:45.894 --> 00:06:47.233
That's the model.
00:06:47.233 --> 00:06:49.154
So that means you start with your why.
00:06:49.154 --> 00:06:51.216
Motivation fuels your message.
00:06:51.216 --> 00:06:52.817
So why are you speaking?
00:06:52.817 --> 00:06:53.817
Why do you want to talk?
00:06:53.817 --> 00:06:54.778
What do you want to share?
00:06:54.778 --> 00:06:59.600
So that's the first part, motivation.
00:06:59.600 --> 00:07:00.141
Why do you want to do this?
00:07:00.141 --> 00:07:00.740
And then the O is organize.
00:07:00.740 --> 00:07:03.504
So that means structuring your talk so it flows and makes sense.
00:07:03.504 --> 00:07:05.185
You have to have some type of order.
00:07:05.185 --> 00:07:16.795
So what journey are you trying to take the speaker on or whoever you're talking to when you start talking and it doesn't matter I like to tell people, you don't have to have thousands of followers or talk in front of a big stage.
00:07:16.795 --> 00:07:25.182
You know, as long as you have a microphone in your hand, you're a leader, and so you still need to have the same concept, the same flow.
00:07:25.182 --> 00:07:34.836
If I'm talking to people or if I'm talking to 2,500, I still need to be organized in my thought process and my goal at the end of what I want them to know after we speak or after I talk.
00:07:35.860 --> 00:07:38.108
And then the D is delivery or deliver.
00:07:38.108 --> 00:07:46.399
So you want to focus on your tone, your pace and your presence, and so I like to always give this example, your pace and your presence, and so I like to always give this example.
00:07:46.399 --> 00:07:56.829
Let's say you love steak, you're a steak eater, and somebody cooks your favorite cut, whether it's a ribeye or whatever the type of steak it is, and it's well done or medium well, however you like.
00:07:56.829 --> 00:08:04.797
It has the fixings, all of the perfect things, but they bring it to you not on the plate, they bring it to you on a trash can lid.
00:08:04.797 --> 00:08:09.838
But even though it's your favorite meal, how they presented it completely turned it off.
00:08:09.838 --> 00:08:11.656
The delivery was horrible.
00:08:12.089 --> 00:08:18.976
And so when you have a message, it can be very good, but if you don't deliver it in the right way, then you're going to turn off your listeners.
00:08:19.490 --> 00:08:22.880
Are you going to not have the end result that you're aiming for?
00:08:22.880 --> 00:08:25.759
So delivery is very important, and then E engage.
00:08:25.759 --> 00:08:41.350
You want to connect with the audience and not just speak at them, so you want to be able to let them know that, even though I'm standing up here, I'm just like you, and so you want to keep them involved, engaged, the whole time, so no one's falling asleep or looking at their phone, checking their watches.
00:08:41.350 --> 00:08:51.668
You really want to grab them, keep their attention and, l like I said earlier, checking their watches, you really want to grab them, keep their attention and, l like I said earlier, leave people with a call to action or inspiration to do something.
00:08:51.668 --> 00:09:02.336
And so, with that model framework, I try to teach that to the speakers that I have, so that they know that they can model this, they can do it, they can remember it, and if they have that mindset whenever they speak or talk, then they should be fine.
00:09:03.678 --> 00:09:04.760
Wow, I love that.
00:09:04.760 --> 00:09:11.971
I love that and I want to put those that in your show notes.
00:09:11.971 --> 00:09:14.182
So you're going to have to tell me what each letter mean in there so people can follow you there.
00:09:14.182 --> 00:09:21.591
That is so true Speakers, it doesn't matter how long you've been a speaker, but these are some great tips that you just shared with the audience, and I appreciate that.
00:09:21.591 --> 00:09:22.315
That is awesome.
00:09:22.315 --> 00:09:27.595
How did your framework help professional overcome fear or uncertainty with speaking?
00:09:27.595 --> 00:09:31.043
Because sometimes Go ahead no, go ahead no.
00:09:31.043 --> 00:09:33.073
Tell us how that yeah.
00:09:33.115 --> 00:09:36.341
I like to say if you're prepared, that's more than half the battle.
00:09:36.341 --> 00:09:43.214
So a lot of times people are afraid to speak or present because they're not prepared, they don't have a framework, they don't have something to guide them by.
00:09:43.214 --> 00:09:53.133
So if you're prepared, you've done the work, you have the framework, you practice, then that kind of helps you operate more confidently, and so that's what this framework does.
00:09:53.133 --> 00:10:00.565
The model framework helps people organize their thoughts, get their motivation why they want to speak, help them deliver, help them engage.
00:10:00.565 --> 00:10:02.452
It literally helps them throughout the whole process.
00:10:02.833 --> 00:10:06.239
And a little bit of anxiousness in the beginning of a talk is natural.
00:10:06.239 --> 00:10:12.136
It's normal, and that gives you the adrenaline to keep going, but it shouldn't immobilize you and stop you from speaking.
00:10:12.136 --> 00:10:26.972
And so the big thing that's going to help you not get your fear out of control is being prepared, and so the model framework prepares individuals and arms them with what they need so they can go in confidently and speak in front of whatever crowd.
00:10:26.972 --> 00:10:30.440
Like I said, it could be home, church, community work.
00:10:30.440 --> 00:10:37.812
You have a voice, you have a story to share, so you have to share it, even if you're afraid, because the world is waiting for what you have to say.
00:10:39.756 --> 00:10:41.922
I love it and that is, oh God, that makes sense.
00:10:41.922 --> 00:10:47.399
So can you share a success story of someone who transformed their confidence through your program?
00:10:48.121 --> 00:11:01.118
Sure, yes, I have someone who she's a realtor, and when it comes to real estate, you have to be able to talk, show off your houses and pretty much give that confidence, because a lot of times buyers are unsure.
00:11:01.118 --> 00:11:04.636
So I've actually worked with two realtors who weren't as confident.
00:11:04.636 --> 00:11:12.618
They didn't like social media, and social media is a big place you have to be on so people can know, when they're ready to buy or sell, that you're in the market to help them.
00:11:12.618 --> 00:11:20.510
And so I simply told them how, don't look at it as something to fear, but as something that's going to aid and help your businesses.
00:11:20.510 --> 00:11:25.282
So I was able to coach both of them to give them that confidence Again, go over the model framework.
00:11:29.649 --> 00:11:36.278
I even did some one-on-one where I recorded them so we could go back and look at the video and they could see where they improved or things that they did that they didn't like to do, that they could see so they could stop doing it.
00:11:36.278 --> 00:11:38.476
But now they both are doing well.
00:11:38.476 --> 00:11:45.422
They're able to talk on camera, they're able to pitch or sell these houses and have that confidence they need.
00:11:45.422 --> 00:11:51.243
So that's just one off hand that I can think of that I help two realtors get their confidence so that they can sell those houses.
00:11:51.909 --> 00:11:52.652
That's awesome.
00:11:52.652 --> 00:11:56.480
I love how you said that, because you really got to be on social media to get anything.
00:11:56.480 --> 00:11:58.744
When you got to be as far as being an entrepreneur.
00:11:58.744 --> 00:12:02.860
So how has the role of collaboration helped you grow your career and businesses?
00:12:02.860 --> 00:12:05.556
Because I always say collaboration is key to success.
00:12:05.556 --> 00:12:06.216
We got to work together.
00:12:06.236 --> 00:12:09.250
It really is it is yeah, and I think people get it confused.
00:12:09.250 --> 00:12:10.956
Collaboration is not just networking.
00:12:10.956 --> 00:12:16.437
It's about being able to work together to accomplish things that you couldn't accomplish by yourself.
00:12:16.437 --> 00:12:21.999
It's about exposing you to new markets, new venues, new people, new audiences.
00:12:21.999 --> 00:12:23.683
That's what collaboration is.
00:12:23.683 --> 00:12:28.417
It's I'm bringing my best self, you're bringing your best self, and so I love collaborating.
00:12:28.417 --> 00:12:29.639
It's helped me with pharmacy.
00:12:29.639 --> 00:12:39.379
I do mission work, international mission work, and so I was able to collaborate with other healthcare professionals to secure medications to take on the mission trips.
00:12:39.379 --> 00:12:40.741
And even with my business.
00:12:40.782 --> 00:12:47.974
I try to reach as many networks and audiences as possible, Even being able to talk with you today on your podcast.
00:12:47.974 --> 00:12:58.816
I'm always looking at being able to collaborate and not looking at people as competition, because many people get intimidated when they see someone doing what they're doing and they see them as a threat.
00:12:58.816 --> 00:13:00.380
And it's no you can learn from somebody.
00:13:00.380 --> 00:13:02.313
You shouldn't want to be the smartest person in the room.
00:13:02.313 --> 00:13:07.364
You shouldn't want to be a person who has all the intelligence and can't glean anything from somebody else.
00:13:07.364 --> 00:13:17.164
So I think we need to welcome and embrace collaborating and seeing it not just as networking, but as a way to build lifelong relationships and open doors and create lasting impact.
00:13:18.230 --> 00:13:26.865
Absolutely, absolutely, and it's so true because it's so much competitiveness out here today and it's enough room in this world to share, to learn from each other.
00:13:26.865 --> 00:13:30.801
I'm about education and educating and empowering, and I'm learning from you.
00:13:30.801 --> 00:13:34.929
It doesn't matter how many years I have, but you learn from each other and that really makes a difference.
00:13:34.929 --> 00:13:42.244
How have partnerships and mentorship influenced your success and launch of your nonprofit Model Missions Incorporated?
00:13:42.951 --> 00:13:43.835
It definitely has helped.
00:13:43.835 --> 00:13:45.538
I think back to the mentors I had.
00:13:45.538 --> 00:13:56.153
Like I mentioned earlier, I had three pharmacists that attended my church that I was able to mentor and shadow with them, and so it just encouraged me to say that you know what, Samantha, you didn't do this by yourself.
00:13:56.153 --> 00:14:02.014
You had family, you had friends, you had professors, you know different individuals who helped you on this journey.
00:14:02.014 --> 00:14:04.437
So why not do the same for the next generation?
00:14:04.437 --> 00:14:10.793
And even if there were areas where I was lacking growing up and didn't have everything I wanted, I want to be that for somebody else.
00:14:10.793 --> 00:14:14.750
So basically, what I was missing, I want to provide that for somebody else.
00:14:14.770 --> 00:14:16.535
So that's what Model Missions is for.
00:14:16.535 --> 00:14:21.495
It's about helping you know students be at really any grade level.
00:14:21.495 --> 00:14:32.958
Learn how to have confidence, how to stand up straight, say your name, be proud, how to look people in the eye, how to shake hands, just how to have that confidence to speak and share your story.
00:14:32.958 --> 00:14:41.994
So, really on any level, communication is the top way that we express our needs and our wants, and so if we can't effectively communicate, it really affects all areas and aspects of our lives.
00:14:41.994 --> 00:14:45.240
So I want to give that to the upcoming youth.
00:14:45.240 --> 00:15:07.083
Give back, because I think a lot of the things that we're experiencing in today's world is the lack of communication, not being able to understand where someone else is coming from and just how to regulate our emotions and just how to truly be able to be an effective communicator as well as an effective listener, because listening is just as important as talking when it comes to communicating.
00:15:08.005 --> 00:15:09.207
Absolutely, absolutely.
00:15:09.207 --> 00:15:16.820
So now, what advice would you give professionals who want to step into leadership through speaking, like you were saying, how you help those realtors?
00:15:27.461 --> 00:15:28.522
Give it my best.
00:15:28.522 --> 00:15:31.022
And then I would suggest getting a speaker coach.
00:15:31.022 --> 00:15:39.783
Getting someone like myself can help you, give you a framework who could come alongside as a champion, as your cheerleader, as your coach to encourage you.
00:15:39.783 --> 00:15:45.524
And what people don't realize yes, you can go on YouTube, you can go read books, you can do all of that.
00:15:45.524 --> 00:15:48.870
But at the end of the day, certain things can't be replaced.
00:15:48.870 --> 00:15:51.957
Sometimes you need that one on one, that personalization.
00:15:51.957 --> 00:15:53.259
Certain things can't be replaced.
00:15:53.259 --> 00:15:55.424
Sometimes you need that one-on-one, that personalization.
00:15:55.424 --> 00:16:06.496
And so those other avenues they're great, but we have to be willing to invest in ourselves, because if you want an ultimate return or you want to get there faster, then you need someone to help you, who's been on that road, who can give you those tips and tricks to help you be better.
00:16:06.496 --> 00:16:07.167
It's almost.
00:16:07.167 --> 00:16:08.451
Yeah, could I change my own oil?
00:16:08.451 --> 00:16:10.908
I could, but I'd rather let a professional change it Could.
00:16:10.908 --> 00:16:11.450
Could I change my own oil?
00:16:11.450 --> 00:16:12.511
I could, but I'd rather let a professional change it.
00:16:12.511 --> 00:16:13.232
Could I get to the store if I walk?
00:16:13.232 --> 00:16:17.519
Yeah, it's going to take me about eight hours, but if I got in my car and drove, I would get there quicker.
00:16:22.705 --> 00:16:25.764
So having a coach is a way to accelerate your growth, your movement, so that you don't have to learn everything by yourself and make all the mistakes.
00:16:25.764 --> 00:16:27.885
You have somebody alongside who can help you.
00:16:27.885 --> 00:16:34.331
And, like I said, start where you are, get a speaker coach and then, most importantly, be authentic.
00:16:34.331 --> 00:16:35.431
Be yourself.
00:16:35.431 --> 00:16:44.517
You know, the world has enough of AI and enough of things that are not true and that are not authentic, not real, and people can sense authenticity.
00:16:44.517 --> 00:16:48.100
People can sense when you're sharing a story from a place of.
00:16:48.100 --> 00:16:49.399
I've experienced this.
00:16:49.399 --> 00:16:50.701
I went through this.
00:16:50.701 --> 00:16:51.461
I'm not perfect.
00:16:51.461 --> 00:16:53.342
I'm a human, but I got past it.
00:16:53.342 --> 00:17:06.394
So people want not to follow perfect people or people who haven't made, but they want to follow real people who can share real stories and encourage them that hey, I can do it and I'm not perfect, you can do it too.
00:17:06.394 --> 00:17:17.059
So those are the tips I would give Start where you are, get a speaker coach, someone to help you, and be authentic Yep and get Samantha Dr Samantha, because she can help you with this speaker coach right.
00:17:17.924 --> 00:17:18.484
I would love to.
00:17:18.484 --> 00:17:20.046
So what do you see?
00:17:20.046 --> 00:17:23.027
Collaboration continue to fuel your vision in the next five years.
00:17:23.728 --> 00:17:25.367
I see I want to see expansion.
00:17:25.367 --> 00:17:26.528
That's what I feel in my spirit.
00:17:26.528 --> 00:17:27.729
I want to expand.
00:17:27.729 --> 00:17:37.074
I want to be able to do international retreats and domestic retreats, so I want to be able to visit many states in the country as well as abroad.
00:17:37.074 --> 00:17:41.056
I want to be able to help people everywhere get this model framework down.
00:17:41.056 --> 00:17:43.797
And then also I want to expand my model missions.
00:17:43.797 --> 00:17:47.699
I want to expand my nonprofit and even look into other ventures.
00:17:47.699 --> 00:17:51.240
I'm about legacy and leaving something for the next generation.
00:17:51.240 --> 00:17:58.403
Even though I speak as a single woman with no children now, and whether that changes or not, I still want to leave a legacy for the next generation.
00:18:13.825 --> 00:18:18.962
So I want to just work on building my businesses, definitely growing my businesses and expanding and getting more collaborations, working with more women and men as well, so that I can advance my mission, my goal, and leave a strong legacy for the next generation.
00:18:18.962 --> 00:18:18.778
That's awesome, because I was going to ask you about that.
00:18:18.778 --> 00:18:21.714
When people think about your legacy, what do you hope that they would say about you?
00:18:21.714 --> 00:18:23.507
What impact have you made with the world?
00:18:24.008 --> 00:18:24.789
Yeah, I would say.
00:18:24.789 --> 00:18:29.111
They would say she believed that we could all be models for goodness, for greatness.
00:18:29.111 --> 00:18:31.780
You know that we all have a story to share.
