What is stress?
According to The National Stress Institute, stress is:
Stress is not a useful term for scientists because it is such a highly subjective phenomenon that it defies the definition. And if you can’t define stress, how can you possibly measure it? The term “stress”, as it is currently used was coined by Hans Selye in 1936, who defined it as “the non-specific response of the body to any demand for change”.
1) Take care of your physical health - create good eating habits and make sure you get plenty of rest and exercise. If you don't feel well, move slower through the healing process.
2) Create space to express yourself – find someone who will listen without judgment so you can vent, cry, scream or laugh.
3) Journal- even if you write a few words a day, let your emotions flow to paper.
