About Guest:
The Rev. Thaddeus Searcy is the Senior and Founding Pastor of Freedom Church Ministries in Homewood, IL.
Rev. Thaddeus Searcy responded to the call to ministry at a very early age. In 2001, he founded New Covenant Ministries with Rev. Claude Magee in Charleston, IL. This church plant reached out to minority students of his alma mater Eastern Illinois University with the gospel of Jesus Christ and provided hope to the under-served of that community. In 2005, Rev. Searcy joined All Nations Community Church in Homewood, IL as the Lead Pastor for Young Adults. He pioneered the “Upper Room Ministries'' and “Connect”, which served as a Christian networking tool that reached over 300 young adults on a weekly basis. In 2007, Rev. Searcy became the youngest person ever called to the senior pastorate of Cross and Crown Community Church – a multi-ethnic community church located in the heart of Albany Park on the north side of Chicago. In 2012, he accepted the call to return home to All Nations Community Church, where he served as the Senior Pastor for 2 years. On 1.11.2015 God called Rev. Searcy to pioneer a church that's full of life and Freedom aptly named Freedom Church. Freedom Church is one of the fastest growing multi-cultural churches in the Chicagoland area to the Glory of God!
Rev. Searcy has a passion for seeing Christlikeness formed in those he encounters. He has a passion for the lost, spirit formed community, and church health.
His dynamic teaching and preaching have opened many opportunities for speaking engagements in local high schools, colleges, interfaith settings, and in the local church. His theological interests include Pauline studies, Apologetics, and Systematic Theology. Rev. Searcy is married to his high school sweetheart Joena, and they have 4 children, Sofia, Isabella, Armani, and Xavier.
