I can across Gary Vee years ago through another podcast. I didn’t like him/his style and I didn’t really understand what he was talking about...”in perpetuity”...”grow organically.” We aren’t growing vegetables. My 50 year old brain and life experience just didn’t get it. HOWEVER- there were nuggets that struck me. “We’ve got to go where the consumer’s attention IS and that is social media.” THAT made sense to me. I am so glad I kept listening because eventually, I was able to connect the dots and relate all of this to my own work in higher education and my life in general. To be fully honest, I 100% struggle with content because of confidence. My personal accounts are private and I even then I haven’t posted in ages. On both my personal and work accounts, I struggle deeply with fear of the comments and crap talking by colleagues and peers. I need to find my voice. I will keep listening Gary Vee.
