Changing my Life

I adore GaryVee, ever since going to college and being introduced to him in my media class. His conviction, message, and consistency definitely have affected me and recently, more deeply than ever. As I go through my journey of finding “what I want to do“ and realizing that my passion IS business. I’m being swept into this understanding of the significance of being a person who leads with purpose, passion, empathy, with a high level of love and respect for everyone in the game. Yes, it’s repetitive but! BUT!

It’s the thing we always forget. Make your decisions around happiness. Stop chasing the coin. Once you stop chasing the coin, the coin will find you. And it turns out the coin isn’t money. It’s happiness and contentment and finding fulfillment. I know the podcasts get repetitive and the headlines don’t match the content. But I used to find it frustrating but now I realize that all the podcasts are gold. We all need regular reminders to stay focused on what’s important.

My Original Podcast

I’ve been listening to Gary Vee’s podcast since I started my entrepreneurial journey in 2020. His ability to communicate, articulate, and give the audience the ability to visualize their direction based off the way he speaks is impecable. The processes he’s been giving on being authentic and true to yourself when marketing is something you hear over and over again on social media platforms now, I can’t say this was the truth when I first started listening to Gary. Thank You for shoring the Gold in the early days man, you’ve helped a lot along the way, and implementing it has been a whole another game show.

It’s been a while

History shows us the future

Listening to Gary talk about how many people look to The System or politicians and celebrities for help and support, I was reminded of a part in a talk by Jim Rohn when he recounts a meeting he was in with a lot of influential businessmen who asked him what he thought the next decade would be like and he said he told them that it would be about like it’s always been. The book Generations: The History of America’s Future, by the late William Strauss and Neil Howe is the most insightful discussion of the cyclical nature of our society and instructive on what to expect next. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in history and how knowledge of it can help us prepare and take advantage of the history that’s to come.
