The best!

My favorite true crime podcast! I love Erica’s voice, it is so calming. I also love the respect she shows for the victims and their families. I’m find many true crime podcasts to be exploitative but not SFTC!

Unbiased Reporting

I love that Erica always shares the facts! She is so compassionate and caring in her commentary. She never exploits the victims in any way. A true professional!!

Great podcast!

This a great podcast! I love the respect and compassion. shown to the victims and their friends and family. She does a wonderful job researching the cases and sharing their story. I’m pretty picky on my podcasts and this one is a gem!

I love the accent, the story telling, & the way she takes people to task. Well researched and fact driven. An absolute favorite.

Thorough, sensitive, anti-racist

I really love how thorough the research is on its case and on its setting in place and time. Erica Kelley pulls no punches when she sees injustice in investigations or trials. But she is also very attentive to telling a well-rounded story that respects victims and survivors. A really great podcast about crime in the contemporary and historical South.

No end to the Michael Petersen episode?

Love this podcast, but the Michael Petersen episode ended so abruptly without any resolution. Very strange, I’ve never experienced that with this channel before

Very good true crime podcast

It took me a couple of months but I binged the entire library and I am caught up. I love Erica’s voice, raspy and mysterious. Plus, you can tell they are doing some serious research on these cases. You have to respect the hard work involved. But my favorite part of this podcast is her opinion time. It’s very entertaining and makes me laugh. Keep up the good work

One of my favorite podcasts!

I have been listening to Southern Fried True Crime for the last few years and I thoroughly enjoy Erica Kelly’s storytelling. She paints a picture with her words that I can see in my mind. I look forward to every episode and delight in the notification of a new one. Most of all, I feel like I’m listening to a friend relay the story. Even her parting words “Until next time, y’all take care” is like a warm hug. Give this podcast a listen: you won’t be disappointed!

Great Listening

I love this Podcast not just because I’m a Southerner, but I learn about stories that typically I have never heard about. It makes house work go such more smooth when I can put an airpod in one ear and just listen away. Love Southern Fried True Crime! Keep up the good work!

Ehhhh

Loved this at first but after time the woke narrative becomes very apparent- We get it white ppl suck………The town history thing gets old and without any guest or recordings so does her voice.

Only complaint is the ads are so much louder than Erika’s voice. Always startled me when an ad comes on. I wish the ad volume would match host’s volume. I love relistening as I fall asleep.

Southern Charm, With a Twist

Erica is a good storyteller, does a lot of good research, and doesn’t suffer fools, ridiculous criticism, or political idiocy. This is a smart, concise, and interesting podcast. One of my faves!

The perfect podcast!

Erica and her team present a well written and researched story that satisfies the curiosity in their audience. Then, Erica adds the Southern flair by telling you exactly what she thinks. I usually agree with her and if I don’t, I find myself thinking and considering later. She usually has a solid point, even if I see a different side. Working my brain is why I’m here, so thank you!

I've been listening for 4 years and Erica always serves up a new and interesting case with some good sympathy or straight up sass. To Erica personally, I appreciate that you connect some of these cases to real life happenings and get political. It's not always political, it's just when it's necessary. Thank you for doing so.

Detailed, yet Thoughtful

The host gives detailed accounts of these horrific stories while always maintaining the dignity of the victims. She puts a lot of thought and consideration into the words she uses which shows she really cares about the awareness she brings to some very sensitive material. These one star reviews presented based off of one episode that they may disagree with (the Darlie Routier relentless innocent camp comes to mind) is ridiculous especially since those people openly support a child murderer. Keep up the great work, Erica and team!!! The real reviewers love you.
