If you love true crime, this podcast is for you!
This is, by far, my favorite true crime podcast. The way she tells the stories keeps your attention. She also researches so well she’s able to share lots of details and really dig in to the truth. And her wit is fantastic! Thank you so much for this gift of a listen!!!! Y’all take care!
The best,
If you’re one of the negative reviewers because of politics, that says more about you then the podcast, it’s part of the story obviously.
Great true crime podcast!
I love the way she tells everything how it is, and don’t care what anyone thinks 👍🏼👍🏼
Love love love
Very research oriented, funny, down to earth, and the best of all things SOUTHERN. Love this podcast soooooo much.
Thank You
Long time listener. I apologize that this is the first time I’ve rated your show. Southern Fried True Crime is all around excellent. Thank you for your latest episode which addressed gun violence.
The best true crime
Of all the true crime podcasts I listen to, Erica does the best research, analysis, and presentation that I have heard. She is smart, and witty when appropriate. If there’s a true crime story I want to hear about, I definitely want to hear what Erica has to say about it.
Great Listen
I found this podcast while looking up podcasts about the Sellerstown bombing. I decided to listen from the start and wow! I was sucked in at the first episode. Thank you for sharing these stories. C- Ash,NC
Southern Storytelling
I enjoy this podcasters storytelling. I have lived in the south my entire life and I enjoy hearing about the cases discussed on this podcast. Some I have heard of. Several I have not. I like how well thought out the order of telling is put together. You can tell she takes time and puts effort into her cases.
Very Refreshing
So glad to have come across your podcast. It is very refreshing to be able to just listen to you podcast. You tell the story no comedy.
NA
I like the stories but the personal (somewhat judgement) commentary is frustrating and kind of annoying. I don’t need to know your take on a man cheating on his pregnant girlfriend. I think those things can go unsaid. I’m listening really for the story, for the details of what happened in each death. Not that you think “once a cheater always a cheater”. Other than that I really like the show and I like the setting of the scene that happens at the beginning—the description of the area really helps you see the story take place. Thanks!!
Great show
I have been listening to your podcast and it’s great. Seems to be more commercials lately.
My favorite southern belle
I’ve been enjoying this podcast almost since it started but I am sending in another review and also to say I love the new soft haunting music in the background!!

Good storytelling
The best!
True crime with respect and compassion and just enough attitude. Please listen. You won’t be sorry.
Fav podcast
Live when the new episode drops. Except way too many ad breaks. Episode 182 had like 4-5. It’s hard to stay interested
I love it but why better help
I really love this podcast. It’s definitely one of my favorites. But I cringe every time I hear a better help advertise. Better help is not real therapy they have law suit (Milberg's lawsuit). They use real therapist picture but when you click on them there available than you have to use one of the other “ therapist “. Most of there therapist do not have proper credentials or even licenses to practice. They also sell your personal information form the survey you fill out to 3rd party without disclosing it. I wish she wouldn’t partner with them so often.
True crime perfection!
I just finished episode 44, about the terrifying wooded rapist .Such a a good episode! Very interesting, well researched and, omg the production and overall vibes is top notch. The show do an incredible job with the portrayal of the victims of these horrible attacks. The incredible strength and intelligence of the women this monster targeted is mind blowing. Super creepy perpetrator, as mentioned in the pod like GSK, or East area rapist before he sadly escalated to murders. I’m sure the survivors in this case is the reason this rapist didn’t. Oh my goodness! Five stars, no question!
Favorite!
I am a huge fan of Southern Fried True Crime and Erica!!! I love how she tells a story. I love her voice and her southern ways. It is my favorite podcast ever. I have heard every episode back to 2019. I listen every night when I’m going to sleep. Please keep up the great work. I also love that she isn’t trying to be comedic like some other annoying podcasts, she takes it very serious and I love her compassion. She seems like a very nice person. Great job!!
Background music
Please stop with the new background music. Definitely not a good change.
One of my favorites!!
This podcast is one of my go-to’s to listen to at work. Erica is an amazing and informed storyteller who brings light to cases most have not heard before. If you’re upset by her “bringing politics into it” and discussing race, then chances are it’s because you’re a disgusting racist. go find some white pride podcast to listen to instead and leave Southern Fried to those who appreciate it!! (: Thank you, Erica, for bringing awareness to people who desperately need it!
Awesome
I just found this podcast and I love it. I’m from Mayfield,KY and I enjoyed the way your portrayed the Jessica Currin case.
The Alday Family Murders
Erica is an amazing storyteller who uses compassion and empathy when speaking of the victims. She does a great job describing the events, even when they may be hard to hear. She has a soothing voice that draws you into the story. Keep up the good work!
The deep dive!
Found this podcast last week and I haven’t listened to anything else since. I’ve been playing catch up! I really enjoy the host and how she brings you the full story. If you are into true crime this one’s a good one to binge!
