I love everything about SFTC. Erica's soothing drawl literally sets the tone for these southern true crime stories. This podcast is a "must listen" for me every week.

I found this podcast years ago and was an immediate subscriber. I enjoy this well researched and presented podcast. The information is thorough and never biased towards the criminal even when sharing details of how this person came into a life of crime.

The negative reviews regarding the hosts “personal views” are most likely from keyboard warriors who want to be offended. People who seek a negative slant. This is a great podcast and host. She had a beautiful voice and is a great story teller. The issue happens when people get upset that someone’s personal opinion do not laugh with theirs. Freedom is great, when we get what we (an individual) gets what we want. If you cannot tolerate someone’s opinion, UNSUBSCRIBE from life, metaphorically speaking. Please do not kill your self. Humans have feelings, emotions and believe it or not, opinions.

This is hands down my favorite podcast!

I am so glad I started listening to this podcast late. I can binge whenever and don’t have to wait on new stories!! Erica is a gifted story teller, who is fun and easy to listen to. I love this podcast!!!

One of my favorite podcasts! I’ve been listening since episode 27. Don’t let the nasty reviews stop you from listening. Erica, Haley, and staff tell amazing stories and well researched.

What I love most about this podcast is the in depth research done on where the crime took place. It sets the stage for the story in the true Southern storytelling tradition. I know I listen to true crime because I want to try and know why. Erica and Haley’s in depth research helps the listener put things in perspective. Erica is always so respectful of the victim, the victims family, and present facts I an unbiased as possible way. Again, the BEST true crime podcast out there!

The amount of research and effort that goes into each episode is amazing! Always ensuring the facts are presented and the victim is the main focus. Thank you Erica! you rock- never change!

This is one of my favorite crime podcasts! When I found it I binged all the episodes. It’s GREAT! I love the deep dive into the background information! It gives me clues as to why the killer may have done what they did. So AMAZING!!

Erica does such a lovely job of honoring the victims and telling the true story. I appreciate her humanity in telling the background and context of a the person who committed the crime. Context matters. The “why” matters. Erica is truly wonderful and SFTC is one of the very best true crime podcasts.

I have been listening to Erica and SFTC for several years. It is my absolute favorite. I love the extra information, especially background about the location, victim(s), and the killer(s).

This pod is in my regular weekly downloads. SFTC notifications of new episodes have me racing to my pod library to listen. Always a Great job telling the victims stories but also helping listeners have some insight into what “may” have contributed to the killers behavior. One question that alot of families ask when they lose a loved one, especially from murder , is “Why”? You offer some great history/back ground that can often help answer (not excuse) the horrible crime(s). Keep doing what you’re doing Erica! I for one, love your story telling and coverage!

I read a bunch of reviews complaining about Erica’s opinions on HER podcast. I personally enjoy that she says what I’m thinking. HOWEVER when I disagree with her opinion, it does not magically make it a bad podcast. If you want a podcast that’s just the facts and NO personality, then go listen to that. Just because you don’t agree with something, it doesn’t make it in inherently bad. When did we all become a bunch of whiners?!? This is a great podcasts that gives you all the facts and spends time on all sides of a story and the narrator has an awesome southern accent to boot!

This is the first true crime podcast I have listened to. I've tried a couple others, but they didn't hook me in like this podcast. It is well researched, and Erica is thoughtful and presents the evidence in an unbiased, respectful, and compelling manner. Also her voice is like butter! Once you start listening you'll know what I'm talking about! Give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

You don’t have to be a southerner to love this podcast! Erica keeps it real and tells the full story making sure to bring us the facts! Love love love everything about this podcast - it is my go-to!

This was the true crime podcast that sucked me into true crime, and it’s still my favorite. These episodes are extremely well researched. Host Erica Kelley shows the utmost dignity to the victims, but also gets into the complexities of what causes the perpetuators to commit crimes. Most of all, she respects diversity of all people. Lastly, I never feel like she’s reading from a paper, it feels like I’m listening to someone who cares about having the victims story be told share with me.

This is the podcast that got me hooked on listening to true crime stories, the one I keep coming back to, and the one by which I measure all others. Erica Kelley consistently delivers: *Thorough, intelligent storytelling- Don’t leave your brain behind when you listen to her episodes. The story will be well-told and clear, but the full story will be there. Erica is fascinated with WHY people do terrible crimes. So you will hear background, locale information, and quotes from primary and secondary sources. If you truly listen to understand, you will be satisfied. *Unmatched delivery- No one tells a tale like Erica. She proves Winston Churchill’s claim, “The most beautiful voice in the world is that of an educated Southern woman.” She understands pacing, tone, and voice. As a heating impaired person, my preference is for a well-spoken single narrator with minimal background moise. That’s what I get with SFTC. *Gumption- Erica doesn’t suffer fools (or jerks) gladly. She is sympathetic to victims of all kinds, and she’s open about voicing her opinions in addition to the full facts. If dhe throws in a cussword or some sacrcasm, rest assured that it was justified.
