I really enjoy listening to this podcast. I appreciate Erica’s attention to detail, and her unique spin on each case/story. I listen to a lot of true crime, but Erica presents the facts & details in a way that make the case fresh and interesting, even if I am familiar with the specifics of the crime. Erica has the talented ability to dig out unknown information and facts that perhaps are not as obvious as those reported in other shows. I appreciate her attention to the victim’s life and legacy rather than simply casting them as “the victim”. She reports in a way that brings the individuality of those impacted by the crimes to the spotlight. She honors & respects them. With that being said, I also find the details of the perpetrator’s biography and history she provides to be insightful. Sometimes it helps to understand how a perpetrator became such. However, she does not excuse and glorify the horrific acts of the individual. I look forward to each new episode, and I find myself going into the archives to listen to previous episodes in between releases. Thanks to Erica & her team for providing a podcast that is full of research, unique points of view, but most of all, compassion for those whom have been & continue to be directly impacted by the crimes she reports.
