I love this podcast & Erica’s devotion to it. Considering I have lived in the great State of Tennessee my entire life, I love that a hometown girl is thriving y’all! Thank you Erica for your hard work, soothing voice and method of storytelling! One of my favorite podcasts to listen to! Even though Erica has the most soothing voice, she has never played the Sandman for me and sent me off to sleep. I have binged every single episode and have to impatiently wait for the next episode to drop. You are wonderful Erica!

My Go-To Podcast!

I listen to quite a few podcast. I want one that tells me the story, gives me a quick background, & an extremely pleasant voice that has a little fire to it about injustice! SFTC gives me all of that and more. Lots of podcast I will just mark as “played” when the narrator goes way off base but never with Erica. She tells each episode with reverence for the victims and with a Southern touch of grace that you really do not find anywhere else. If you are looking for an excellent podcast that you will still be pondering a few days after listening then this is for you!

Great podcast!

I enjoy this podcast immensely! It is organized well and Erica is a natural storyteller. Too many podcasts I cannot listen to because of rambling or thought hopping, that is not the case with this podcast. Erica’s voice is soothing and I find her intelligence, her candor, and her well researched case history refreshing.

Awesome Podcast!

Erica does a great job and has an amazing voice. I like how she gives history about the area at the beginning of each episode. I enjoy her story telling so much I am currently listening from the beginning for a second time.

Awesome!

This podcast is my absolute favorite and I’ve listened to most all of the other true crime podcasts. Erica’s voice is mesmerizing and soothing even while she’s talking about a grisly murder. She has a true gift!

I have listened to every episode. This is one of my favorite podcasts. Erica does a superb job of telling the victims story with respect to the victim. I wish Erica could release an episode everyday. Keep up the good work Erica.

Love this show!

This is my favorite podcast. I love that Erica tells a story and shares as much info as she can. These shows are deeply researched for as much info as they can get. I love her soothing voice. I highly recommend this awesome show! I listen every week!

Well researched and thorough

I really appreciate the effort and diligence that each episode displays. Erica is really good at making sure that listeners have as much of the whole story as possible. True crime delivered as a podcast for entertainment and information is such a delicate line to walk. Erica does it very well. There’s no sensationalization here - Erica is really good at making sure that the “real people” subjects of each of her episodes is conveyed to the audience. It’s a very good reminder that nothing happens in a vacuum; that these events are not always linear. At the same time, Erica is really good at conveying her sense of passion and outrage.

in my top 5

i listen to a LOT of true crime, and Erika is consistently one of the best in the genre. it isn’t just her soothing voice (which many reviewers i'm sure will mention) it is her attention to detail, her compassion, and her beautifully written episodes- each one is a perfectly told true story. if you’re new, start with The Ballad of Zack & Addie, or The Legend of Nellie Jackson, and “y’all take care”.

Favorite Podcast!

Truly one of the best podcast out there. From the moment I heard Erica‘s voice I was immediately hooked. The storytelling is superb. Eric is able to transport you directly into the story and listening to her is a great respite from all the troubles in the world. Thank you so very much Erica.

One of the best

I stumbled upon SFTC from suggestions from a group post on FB. This podcast is now one of my must first listen to every Sunday/Monday! Erica gives a voice to the victims of crimes that may have not received a lot of news coverage, outside their local or regional area.

Victims come first

Erica does an amazing job telling a story that honors the victims, sometimes this even means understanding the legacy of abuse that create offenders. Her stories are well written and researched and it feels like you’re listening to a story from your best friend. Erica is open minded and inclusive, she stands up for those that need it!

Love it!

This podcast is my favorite, for many reasons. I love the background Erica gives so we can really tell where each story has taken place. I love her little “Southern sass” when telling each story. I also love that she is honest, if she believes a statement to be true or not, she says it. I can tell the entire team puts their heart into this show. Will be a listener for life!

That sweet southern drawl

Erica has a voice that pulls you in. Once you are pulled in she doesn’t just give you a story she gives you the entire story! Love that she includes many different points… you the listener will be well informed!
