This was my first favorite even with the scripted responses- I’ve learned to love Brit so much. However, it seems so many questions go unanswered? Over and over Ashley’s answer is ‘I couldn’t find anything about that… etc.’ Seems with so many other podcasts, etc. the time is not being put in for research and many of the questions (that aren’t scripted) are questions I’m also asking. Also, I have to turn the volume down down when Ashley speaks. It’s sounds so intense and loud now? So I’m constantly turning up and back down. The more excited she gets the louder she gets which is annoying because she has a great voice. Just wish this would go back to the way it was in the beginning.

I’m a kid and I LOVE this podcast when I found this app I was listening to it nonstop! I know people say Ashley (sorry if I spelled it wrong) is a bully and Brit is fake I don’t care honestly I just love this podcast

Thank you

I started listening when I worked at Walmart as a personal shopper, my coworker suggested it. Now I listen to your podcasts when working and traveling. The radio plays the same song over and over and that gets boring but your show keeps me on the edge of my seat.

Love this podcast!

I love to listen to this podcast on my train rides each day and when walking my dog. It’s the perfect mix of fun and factual. I love the way the stories are told and both Ashley’s and Brit’s voices are very nice to listen to.

Gets me through

I listen to your podcast while I work and it genuinely makes my day go by quicker. I also have quite an interesting story outside of Mishawaka, Indiana about a triple homicide of a mother, father, and 10yr old son with 2 death row convictions ultimately ending in life in prison with no parole

Brit

I love the show. I know it’s scripted. It does bother me when Ashly kinda throws Brit under the bus sometimes , or when she asks her scripted questions Ashly makes fun of her or makes her sound dumb for asking? It’s a little uncomfortable but I do love the pod cast.

I love how amazing y’all are at giving ALL the details!! Some of these stories I’ve heard before but after hearing y’all cover it, it’s a new revelation! The details that the media/other podcasts leave out are WILD. I appreciate the hard work that goes behind each episode!

My sanity saver

I'm all for true crime stories and Crime Junkie is one of my favorites!! My radio went out in my car so I'll pop in my headphones and just binge on my rides to work, the dog park, (black lab named Mayonnaise - I know you like your dogs) and even doing side work at the restaurant I manage. This podcast has gotten me through hours of car rides on vacations, long dreary shifts, and out of conversations with creeps at the gym! Y'all are my sanity savers. @cloexist

Best Podcast Ever!!

I absolutely love this podcast! It was the very first I’d ever tried listening too and I was immediately hooked and have been following it for years now! And now a few other True Crime podcasts as recommended by you both over time! I recommend this podcast to everyone and have yet to hear anything but great reviews! I also loved Ashley’s book, spectacular read! Thank you both for all you do for the Crime Junkie community and beyond! You two have done so so much good and brought so many people together, it’s simply amazing!

1st time listener

I happened across the Strange Death of Shawn O’Brien podcast while jogging today and was very fascinated with this cold case. The podcast was well done and kept me listening although I would have preferred that the case was solved by the police. Who knows, perhaps when there’s a turnover in the detective staff at the local police department and new eyes are put on this cold case, it may be resolved. My own opinion is that it was a member of Shawn’s family who beat him to death with his carpenter’s hammer. It’s just a matter of time before the culprit is caught. Some canary will sing. Can you imagine a drug addict and alcoholic like Shawn working as a carpenter? 😳
