Just found this podcast!

Just found this podcast a couple of days ago. I’m already 12 episodes in & love it! I went all the way back to the start. I’m so picky with voices and others story telling abilities…. This one hits it out of the park with both! So excited there’s so many episodes!

Favorite podcast

I listen to a lot of podcasts and crime junkies will forever and always be my favorite. They tell stories in a way that is both captivating and respectful of the people whose stories they belong to. They bring the victims to life with empathy and provide useful resources to get involved so it isn’t just for entertainment value. So much love and respect for their work!

Love!

I only consume true crime that is in support of the victims and does not glamorize or encourage the criminals. This podcast is very well organized, very well executed and factual. Not a ton of unnecessary info. All very important! They support the victim, most importantly!

Amazing

I love this podcast. It is amazing for road trips. My family went on a road trip to North Carolina and it was a 13 hour drive. And I was bored so I looked on my phone for something to do and I decided to listen to this and it was helpful and it was fun to listen too. I listens to like 5 or 6 episodes.🥰 I love this podcast sooooo sooooo much. And I love Brit and Ashley.

Enjoyed most episodes

I overall enjoy this show and the hosts. The cases are covered throughly and as respectfully as possible. I was unpleasantly surprised to find them asking people to donate money to Adnan Syed. After reading the police interviews and trial transcripts I just can’t fathom still believing he is innocent and asking people to give him money.

Best storytellers!

A true crime junkie myself I haven’t been able to listen to any podcast that doesn’t bore me. I could listen to the stories more than once, id you’re looking to dive into a case and feel like you’re investigating yourself start bingeing now!

Best Podcast

The first episode I ever listened to on the podcast app was the episode on Israel Keyes. After that I got hooked. I will be very surprised if any case can top that, so I would like to recommend that last. Listen to anyone else’s case but Israel Keyes else you will get spoiled and will think the rest of the episodes are underwhelming. Good job Brit and Ashley. This is my favorite true crime podcast by far.

I love Crime Junkies

I love the style of storytelling that Ashley uses. Britt has great questions/comments that are similar to what I’m thinking at the time. I love true crime and have watched and listened to documentaries and podcasts for years, but somehow Ashley finds cases that are new to me. Keep up the amazing work!!

Great Show, But C’Mon Brit

Remains a solid show. One of the few mainstream true crime podcasts that bring to light cases from marginalized communities AND they genuinely advocate for the victims and give opportunities to help instead of simply exploit the gruesome details of a story. That’s awesome. But I am getting. So. Tired. Of Brit’s judgmental commentary of the family and friends of victims. She’s constantly picking apart their responses and actions and it’s just so unfair. Even Ashley has to backpedal for her and is always adding ‘by the way, we’re not saying….’ As Brit then just stays silent. If they don’t respond to a crisis perfectly, please just let it be. These people are suffering enough having lost their loved ones. Obviously other people in the comments are getting fed up with her commentary and interruptions- so it’s a legitimate issue. I know you guys are a well-established show, but please consider the critique!

OMG! I Just started listening this week!

This show is so awesome I love the stories and how you all go into details about each one. If you all read this review I have started from the beginning and so far I am in the year 2019! If you read this and if you have not already can you all look in to the story of D’Wan Simms from Michigan, this was a very weird case of a missing child

Still loving!!

I read several reviews and wow, people are rude. I think that Britt is me, and any of us that would be asking a friend, Ashley, questions if they were telling a story. Yes the ads are more frequent but you literally have a 15 sec skip button if it’s that annoying!! Or even better, you could move on to another podcast. What did ya’ll do back when you had to watch TV with commercials? I listen to every new episode when it comes out and replay favorites when I’m winding down at night. Loved the show back when it started, love the show now! #IamaCrimeJunkie <- kinda looks like llama crime junkie but you get the point! 😁
