I love Crime Junkie and can appreciate the need for more funding for justice. Why get political in your story? Can we stick with the real points and stop siding with the party that wants to defund law enforcement?

Crime Junkie is the OG and I love them for staying consistent in their mission. True crime needs morals imo otherwise you’re just exploiting people’s pain and suffering. For me that means a combo of good reporting, ensuring educational value for listeners, and above all else showing respect for victims/survivors/families. Ashley and Britt have always done all three, and as they’ve gotten bigger, they’ve only gotten better at & more ambitious with those goals. That’s a rare thing, truly. If you can no longer appreciate that because they said a thing one time about a war the president just started I am begging you to check yourself. This kind of outsized reaction is not normal. Long time listener of the show, I love the hosts dynamic and the depth of their investigation. I’ve seen a lot of people complain about not wanting to hear their political views which I rarely hear them express. Some reviews criticize the podcast for including political commentary, but that hasn’t been my experience. These moments are relatively rare and usually connected to the real-world context surrounding the cases. True crime doesn’t exist in a vacuum, and acknowledging broader issues can enhance the discussion rather than take away from it.

I love the sensitivity and in context discussions the hosts have. These are real people whose lives have been lost - I’m glad to hear the hosts point out systemic problems like corruption, lack of funding and government mismanagement. Keep the politics in!

I normally enjoy just one person talking podcast but this team is different and has opened my eyes to other channels that do this!! Love them!!! They are fantastic!!

Usually a great ” just the facts” podcast but I’ve noticed more political commentary lately. It’s your show but most of us hear enough of that stuff elsewhere.

Absolutely disgusted at some of these reviews rating the show 1 star for being too political. True crime is political. It is literal politics that elect our officials and the people who handle our loved ones who go missing. It is impossible to talk about true crime with civil servants without mentioning politics. Even then, there is limited political talk. Behind that, podcast is great. I love the light banter between Britt and Ashley, but that it’s limited. The story is told by fact with limited opinion. Also people complaining about the ads are hilarious. Like you do this for free then 🤣People are dumb. This podcast is great.

Just wanted to add another 5 star review to your stack to combat the idiots giving you 1 star for speaking out about how most of us REALLY feel in the US today. Love you ladies and proud of you for speaking the truth no matter the consequence!

No one wants your politicalopinion…and considering you won’t pay AOM- you have no business popping off about money matters. 5 stars because I’m not a monster but seriously- just tell the story.

Crime junkies is hands-down, one of the most gripping true crime podcast out there. Every episode pulls you in from the very first minute and keeps you completely hooked until the end. The storytelling is clear, intense, and incredibly well paced never drags. You can tell how much research goes into each case, and the details are presented in a way that is both respectful and compelling. What really sets this podcast apart is how immersive it feels. It’s not just storytelling. It’s feeling like you’re right there, piecing together the case alongside the host. The tone strikes the perfect yawns between informative and emotionally gauging, without ever feeling overdone. If you’re ever slightly interested in true crimes, this podcast is a muscle listen. Once you start an episode, it’s almost impossible to stop just one. Britt and Ashley are amazing host. I love the music as well.

I’ve been listening to true crime for awhile now but somehow missed Crime Junkie! This show is fantastic. Great details and research. Very little banter, but when there is, it’s applicable and makes you think deeper. Thank you Crime Junkie!!!

I love this podcast. I have been around since the episode of Maura Murray however every single new episode that is produced has to have some sort of political agenda to it. I don’t care one bit who anyone supports but I know for sure what I don’t want to hear with my podcast and that is a political rant. Politics are all over our socials, tvs and even in person conversations and I want a break from it. PLEASE keep the topic of the episode PLEASE. I do not want to have to hunt for a new podcast when this is my comfort podcast.
