Listener Reviews

Fantastic
I don’t normally like “conversational-style” crime shows, but they really do a good job. It flows so well together, and the thought process and extent they go over data and the viewpoints is really well-evolved and interesting. Thank you!
I’m here for it!!
I'm now a big fan! Thank you, Ashley and Brit, for your dedication to uncovering the truth and for supporting victims and their families. I'm truly captivated and can't wait for the next episode, whether it’s about a new case or an update on one we're already following.
Stopped Listening for months…will be stopping again unfortunately.
honestly, there’s nothing wrong with the show. I’ve just gotten bored with it. I prefer the ‘murdered’ episodes and they’ve become very scarce in comparison to the ‘missing and mysterious’ episodes..so much so that I’ve grown to really not like the ‘mysterious’ episodes…and i don’t like the ‘missing’ ones even more..please just bring back AOM. i think this OG series of CJ has run its course.
Binging
The first time I listened to this podcast was in 2019 for a High School assignment where we had to listen to the cases from Bardstown KY. (i’m from there) I quit listening for a while but then recently started listening from the first episode and now I have been binging it at work. It is honestly a great show and I love how they always seem to have done a lot of research for the cases they share. I like how its like Ashley and Brit are having a conversation. I very much enjoy listening!
love!!!!
ah hello, it is i, a literal child listening to morbid podcasts. this is 100% my podcast of choice! i have only seen one other review from someone who isn’t 20+ but wtv, because i really LOVE THIS PODCAST. i appreciate how much work goes into these episodes and the research. if not to mention the voices are perfect for a crime podcast.
True Crime Junkie
God. I love this show.
Stop saying LIKE!!
Love the content but the fact that they say like 672 times and episode is annoying!!!!
My new favorite podcast
I have so enjoyed catching up with the show! I started at the very beginning and am halfway through 2020 now. It has helped me during my long second shift nights as a mobile x-ray tech! Thanks to Ashley and Britt for being my companions!! 🩵
Loyal listener
I absolutely love this podcast. It took me two and half years to finally get caught up. I listened from the very beginning. I’m now listening to The Deck from the beginning. Keep up the good work🙌🏾
My Fave
The reason I like listening to Crime Junkie and rate it as my favorite and the only one I listen too. Ashley Flowers is a professional storyteller and she knows the stories and tells them as if she’s in conversation with Brit and all of us. Her voice is pleasant and her inflection and the way she uses her voice to highlight and exclaim the drama of the information, the suspicion, the surprise, being incredulous keeps the listener absorbed. The teamwork with Brit’s interjections enhances the feeling like we’re all in the conversation. I’m still enthralled after years.
Dave freaking Sweetman
Love you gals! Long time listener! You cover the victims so respectfully and concisely. Just have to say I’VE NEVER BEEN SO ANGRY LISTENING TO ANYTHING AS I AM RIGHT NOW HEARING DAVE SWEETMAN GASLIGHT AND MANIPULATE AND PROJECT ONTO LAURA!!!!! This man and his audacity!!!! Anyways — love yall k thx bye 🤗
Report someone missing immediately
Great show but I hear you guys say quite often on your show that some of victims families say police tell them they have to wait 24 hrs to report an adult missing or any person for that matter. I heard cops I know and cops on podcasts who are also pod cast hosts/authors say it is a myth and if a cop tells you that they are just lazy and that isn’t true. Might be a good idea to do an awareness episode and clear up whether or not that is true because as you know time is precious in that situation.
I love that these girls have hearts!
Giving voices to the voiceless and advocating for all that is good and just. These ladies get it. They are from Indiana, so naturally they are suddenly getting a lot of nasty reviews from people who love fascism, but that just means you’re doing the right thing! Keep shining light on cases that didn’t get enough attention and on the failures of the system that is supposed to protect and serve us all. I’ve been here since day one and I’m never leaving. Love you and all that you do!
Great!
TLDR: give this show a listen! Great story telling. The hosts curiosity is infectious & we need more people listening & doing the work! Ashley & Brit are engaging, they tell so many stories that I’ve never heard before (avid true crime listener), and you can tell they really really care. I’m honestly confused by some of the negative reviews that reference political bias or “anti-police rhetoric”. I’m a conservative who supports local law enforcement, so I wanted to weigh in. First, everyone has a political bias that would naturally come through in stories like these. Free speech- let them share their opinion. If you don’t like it or agree (I sometimes don’t), maybe consider stepping outside your bubble and learning where others are coming from. Second, many of these stories are unsolved because the local pd didn’t follow protocol or dig in the way they should have. I’m sure some officers would probably admit they were wrong, understaffed, etc., but pretending they’re above reproach is wild. Anyways, love the show. Keep going!
Voice cloning
Two days ago I read that over 750K hardware devices made in China have malware that enables scammers access. From there, they can jump to other devices on our networks ie phones. Also, they mask the malware so it’s undetectable. This may be how they’re able gain access to a 5 year olds voice.
I love it
I’ve been listening to this podcast for about two years now and it’s sooo good. I don’t listen to it that much but whenever I have a long road trip I binge these episodes.
The gasp i gusped !
Last weeks episode was one of the best episode I have ever heard! I audibly gasped multiple times never of how well this story was told. Well done and I hope they get the justice he deserves!
Really good
I recommend this to people who love true crime. This is like murder cases that are presented mysteriously, but quickly addicting. Brit and Ashley don’t have that kind of voice that like kinda makes you uncomfortable or like (I can’t listen to this annoying voice anymore.) they make you feel curious about the story and its ending and when you finish you want to listen more. P.S Keep up the work guys!
Love it
This is by far the best true crime retellings that I have ever heard I listen everyday all day I’m a bit behind so when I catch up to the up to date ones imma cry till the next one gets released.
Absolutely Amazing!!
I’ve been a devoted listener to Crime Junkie for months now, and I absolutely adore every episode! Living in Madison, Wisconsin, I was shocked to learn about the murders that have occurred in my home state. So, I decided to download your files just in case. As a teenager girl, I’ve experienced catcalling before (even though I have a girlfriend, some people just can’t take a hint), and downloading your files has been relieving! I eagerly anticipate each new episode because it imparts valuable lessons to me. One lesson I’ve learned is to never take a polygraph. Another is to be weird and stay crazy. Lastly, I’ve come to realize that people are often dealing with their own struggles and challenges. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and insights with us. Madison now has an introverted, quirky, and passionate Crime Junkie in our midst! (By the way, could you please create an episode about missing people in Madison? There’s a little girl who’s been missing for several years now.)
So good
Good for anyone who loves true crime and the hosts are amazing.
Slay!!!
This podcast is so entertaining and truthful. This is me and my mom’s favorite podcast to binge on long car ride.
Great crime podcast
I have been listening to this podcast for years and I love the way that they present each victim’s story. You can tell that they actually care. I love hearing their opinions as well!
Stay woke
Thanks ladies. Been listening for years. Keep it up
