Hooked
The story keeps you captivated with great writing and great research. I personally felt like I was uncertain of the outcome until the last chapter. It is a shame this happens in the United States today, or 3.5 decades ago. Justice doesn’t always show up for all.
Excellent.
I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts, but this one is different. There's a multi-faceted human element here that I've never heard before, and the story is all at once heartbreaking and enthralling. Beautifully done, and it's absolutely going to stick with you...because it's more than a story, it's a call to action.
Reality
The reality that a innocent man is sitting behind bars for a crime that he did not commit is just beyond me. I truly believe the state prosecutor's knows that Leo is truly innocent and instead of admitting their wrong, and face being sued for damages, they continue to keep up this charade of keeping an innocent man behind bars. This is just wrong on so many levels.
Broken system
It crushes me to listen to this podcast but I can’t stop, and won’t. The lawyers on this case should have been disbarred. The is a HUGE problem with our criminal system. Any first year law student will see the glaring abuse and ineffectiveness. I’ve often seen prosecutorial bulling, single focused objective, ignoring the evidence and fabricated evidence but never the total lack of a defense strategy or effort.
Love! Captivating story
I loved this podcast. It is so well done. It is told with facts but still, it made me feel. I want Leo out! I wish there is something that could be done with the State of Florida to make them sensible. Also, I would love the theme song to be available to buy on ITunes. I’ve been binging the podcast and I find myself singing it all the time. Maybe proceeds could help Leo in some way…?! Thanks again for a captivating listen.
Very good
Very good story and storytelling. But didn’t need Kelsey (she didn’t add anything) and could have been about two episodes shorter.
Great show!
I was hooked from the first episode. I also appreciate that there is empathy on behalf of the hosts, who are telling the story of Michelle as a person and not just a victim. *NOTE* Please check your editing! There are cuts in both episode 3 and 4 that skip ahead or retread earlier portions. This is distracting and takes away some key information. Hope it gets fixed!
One of the best!
I have listened to many true crime podcasts and this is definitely one of the best! Very well done.
Incredible reporting; wrongful conviction
Riveting podcast, but more than that, this is incredible reporting by Gilbert King and Kelsey Decker. Clearly, Leo Schofield has been wrongly convicted and deserves a new trial. This is a gross miscarriage of justice by the State of Florida. Listen, share, and demand a new trial for Leo. #FreeLeoSchofield
Amazing, thoughtful, moving….
Perfect. Thank you for putting such an important story out there. Florida needs to make this right, and give Leo Schofield his life back. Keep up the brilliant work!

Compelling story. Excellent podcast! More please!!
Great investigative reporting
Thanks for all your work on this story—very well done.
Just wow
I never thought a podcast would bring me to tears and leave me heartbroken. The state of FL is is corrupt, the entire system, Leo deserves justice, they need to do what is right. This podcast was so beautifully produced, I absolutely loved it.
Great podcast!
I have listened to MANY crime podcasts and I genuinely enjoyed this one. Made my top 5 list for sure! Leo’s story has truly blown my mind. It’s almost scary that the government has done this to his life and how they can get it away with this? Thank you for shedding light onto this story. It’s been mind blowing and a great podcast to listen to!

The BEST! #Freeleo . Florida is so corrupt.
Total binge
I couldn’t stop listening and my heart just breaks for all involved. Amazing research and story telling. Please, do another. I’m hooked!
great
great podcast. shows how our system is trash. glad the prosecutors dead.
Addicting
This story destroyed me. Amazing coverage and production. 10/10.
Slow but necessary
I read a review about it being slow, there was a middle part where I started to lose interest. However it was all generally necessary and all ties together at the end. It’s very well investigated. I hate that for all the good hard work that prosecutors and detectives do, there are these stories that are so riddled with shady efforts to get and maintain convictions. If the new prosecutor truly said she’s not interested in the court of public opinion just the court of law, that’s like saying “well you’re too dumb to understand”. This one has it all, lack of evidence, terrible representation and unreasonable efforts to maintain a conviction and move on. The victims family doesn’t even believe in this conviction. Sure wish we could figure out a way to improve the way cases are reviewed. If you don’t get a podcast or a book written about your case, you just fade into the system.
Best Podcast
This is the best podcast I’ve ever listened to! I can’t believe how corrupt Florida is and I can’t believe Leo is still in Prison!
Wow
This is one of the best podcasts I have ever heard and I’ve heard A LOT. How is Leo still in prison???? Truly wild……. The state of Florida and all of its citizens should be wildly embarrassed by this case
Mind blown!!!
This I truly heartbreaking and infuriating. I couldn’t stop listening I accidentally came across it but man oh man am I glad I didn’t just skip past it. This is mind blowing how the facts and lack there of was completely disregarded. I drive a lot so I listen to a few selected true crime podcasts but if you were to pull up next to me you would see me screaming out loud because of how this one draws you in. You won’t regret this one. It really reminds you how justice truly isn’t equal for everyone.
Excellent
This might be the best podcast I have ever listened to. Listen now, and cringe and the miscarriage of justice described here. Hold the State of Florida accountable.
What can we do!?
Love this podcast but can’t understand why Leo is still in jail.
