appreciated all the effort put into this podcast. it was moving that justin was able to repair parts of him through reconnecting as there seems to be change and growth in jeremy.

just wish there was more about the struggles and suffering from michelle’s family. i understand that all involved are victims of something, but michelle is thee victim in this story as she did not get a chance to grow and live her life. many women live in constant fear from the violence of men they know and of strangers, and it’s constantly brushed off as a phase that men go through. and the abusers get to claim they are not proud of their actions many years later and everyone just tiptoes around the subject as if it’s too painful for the abusers to be questioned more about it.

it’s really not highlighted enough in general and in this story, which will only help normalize violence and framing of such matters.

i love a redemption arc and forgiveness as much as anyone else, but hopefully next season there will be more examination of the causes of abuse and violence towards women and what it was that made them change their way of thinking. i firmly believe there is a lot of regret from all parties involved but i am hoping they will expand more to be accountable to the ones who suffered most like michelle, michelle’s loved ones, jami, and justin.
