First, i absolutely love the pod and nothing will stop me from listening.
Second, your pinker episode fact check included a statement from Dax that michigan sometimes gets 180 days of “no sun”. That’s absolutely false.

We get plenty of sun. I’ve lived here all my life. I’m 51 years old and I currently live in Ypsilanti, and previously Westland (not far from Milford or Detroit). We get some gloomy stretches, but never more than a few days without sun. We have an excellent mix of weather/climate/seasons which is why I’ll never leave.
